About Guild Wars 3
Guild Wars 3 is ArenaNet's action-adventure MMORPG and the first new mainline Guild Wars game since Guild Wars 2 launched in 2012. It was announced at Summer Game Fest 2026 for PC and PlayStation 5, the first time a main Guild Wars game will come to a home console.
The game is a prequel set in Orr more than a thousand years before the original Guild Wars. You join the Vaelwardens, a guild that protects the land, the people living beyond its towns and the Vael, nature spirits spread across the world that shape the ecosystem around them. Your companion is the Seeker, a large wolf-like creature that links you to Orr's spirits and doubles as a mount. Combat is built for both controller and mouse and keyboard, with character building and skill collection at its core. The first beta test is planned for fall 2027.
