About Star Citizen
Star Citizen is Cloud Imperium Games' crowdfunded space MMO, a first-person universe where you fly, fight, trade and explore across star systems. You can pilot anything from single-seat fighters to huge multi-crew capital ships, walk their decks, step out onto planets and moons with no loading screens, and take on careers such as mining, salvage, hauling, bounty hunting and exploration.
The game has been playable for years as an evolving alpha. Players buy a starter pack with a ship to get in, and the current alpha 4.x builds continue to add systems and content. The full 1.0 release is planned to follow the single-player Squadron 42, which targets 2026, but Cloud Imperium has not given a 1.0 date.
