It has been a quiet few months on the news page, but a busy few months behind the scenes. The Big MMORPG List has been rebuilt from the ground up on a faster, simpler system that makes it much easier for us to keep the directory current. With that work done, we're back to doing what this site is for: adding games to the list.
82 new games and counting
Since the update we have added 82 games, bringing the directory to more than 600 titles:
- 30 MMORPGs, mostly 2025 and 2026 launches such as Throne and Liberty
- 21 MOBAs, from the newest releases to long-running favorites
- 30 extraction shooters, including Marathon, Active Matter and SAND: Raiders of Sophie
- Diablo 4, joining Diablo 3 on the list
Every new entry comes with a full description, screenshot, developer and publisher, release year and minimum and recommended system requirements. We have also refreshed the system requirements on hundreds of existing games using Steam and official sources, and each game now shows whether it is still Active or has shut down, so you won't waste time chasing a server that went dark years ago.
New categories
Three new categories make it easier to find the kind of game you are looking for:
- MOBA for lane-pushing team battles
- Extraction Shooter for raid, loot and get-out-alive games like Escape from Tarkov and Hunt: Showdown
- Buy to Play for games you pay for once with no subscription, now split out from Free to Play
Category pages can also be sorted by newest or oldest, so it is easy to see what just arrived.
Member accounts
You can now create a free account. Being logged in unlocks a personal account page where you can manage your profile, change your password or delete your account at any time.
Reviews and ratings
Members can rate any game on the list from 1 to 5 stars and leave a short review about their experience. Every review counts toward the game's overall rating, shown on its page, so the scores reflect what real players think. You can edit or remove your review whenever you like, and all of your reviews are collected on the Your Reviews page of your account.
Viewing history and recommendations
While you are logged in, we remember the games you open. Your most recent ones appear in a Recently Viewed list in your account sidebar, and the full list lives on your Viewing History page. Your history also powers a Recommended for You section that suggests similar games you haven't looked at yet. Your history is private, only you can see it, and you can remove a single game or clear the whole thing in one click.
What's next
More games are on the way, and if there is one we are missing you can submit it and we will take a look. Thanks for sticking with us, and we'll see you in game.
