About The Cycle: Frontier
The Cycle: Frontier was a free-to-play PvPvE extraction shooter from YAGER. Players were Prospectors living aboard Prospect Station, which orbited the dangerous alien planet Fortuna III, and took jobs from the station's powerful factions.
Each run dropped you onto the planet's surface to hunt for resources and loot, fight alien creatures and survive deadly storms, while other Prospectors pursued their own goals and could help you or rob you. Greater risks brought greater rewards, and everything depended on reaching an evac ship. The game launched in June 2022, but YAGER shut it down on September 27, 2023, saying it was no longer financially viable after cheating drove many players away.
